We are seeking a dedicated SEN Specialist Teacher with expertise in Art and Food Technology to join our specialist autism provision near Dorchester, Dorset. This long-term role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing and inclusive environment, where every childs individuality is celebrated. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Art and Food Technology tailored to the needs of autistic pupils.
  • Create a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support pupils educational and emotional development.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of sensory, communication, and learning needs.
  • Contribute to the development of personalised learning plans and EHCP targets.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with autistic children or young people in a specialist or mainstream setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Art and/or Food Technology.
  • A creative, flexible, and empathetic approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
