Dorchester residents are being asked to help name the town's new 'Writers' Rose Garden'.

Dorchester Town Council has created it in the Borough Gardens and the roses planted were selected from David Austin's literary collection of English roses, inspired by the English countryside and his love of literature.

Entries will be judged by a panel put together by Dorchester Town Council. The winner will be invited to a special ceremony in Borough Gardens in July to memorialise the name on a plaque in the rose garden and receive a David Austin English rose shrub.

Completed entry forms should be sent to Dorchester Town Council, 19 North Square, Dorchester, Dorset DT1 1JF or by email to [email protected]
