The Borough Gardens were transformed into a Mad Hatter's picnic as Heritage Open Days got underway.

Families enjoyed games, music and entertainment on Sunday as part of the 'A Taste of Dorchester' event.

There were Punch and Judy shows, giant games, face painting and more.

And there's still so much more to come.

A week of events has been planned, including tours of the prison, brewery and Poundbury Community Farm, events at Dorset Museum, Roman Town House, Keep Military Museum and more.
