Whatever happens in the football match against Scotland tonight (Friday), the England team can count on the unwavering support of The Prince of Wales School in Dorchester.

Pupils and staff have gone all out to celebrate the start of the UEFA Euro 2020 Championships and were thrilled by England's opening match win over Croatia.

Youngsters and staff dressed in football kits and had their faces painted to get into the spirit of the tournament. The front of the school site was decorated with all 24 flags of the competing nations and the school even recorded their own version of the classic 'Football's Coming Home' anthem.

Headteacher Gary Spracklen said: "We have done similar for the recent women's World Cup and other major sporting events such as the Rugby World Cup and Olympic Games.

"International sporting events provide an excellent platform to both promote the benefits of sporting activities and provide an international focus to our #InspiredToLearn work."
