A new parkrun has been set up in Poundbury, bringing residents the popular weekly activity to their doorstep.

The Great Field parkrun hosted its first event last week and it is back tomorrow (Saturday) at 9am.

Parkrun is a free, weekly 5k community event and participants can walk, run or jog the route - which is three laps in the Great Field - or even volunteer or spectate.

Those taking part must register if it is their first parkrun and would like to have their times recorded.

The Great Field parkrun joins St Mary's parkrun in Bridport and Weymouth parkrun locally.

They are entirely organised and run by volunteers. To volunteer, email [email protected]
