Dorchester's Brewery Square is kicking off its next round of festive celebrations this month, including hosting a dedicated Christmas market and a special visit from the Snow Queen and friends.

The bumper line-up of food, drink and musical festivities follow the Square's 10th annual Christmas Lights Switch On, which saw hundreds gather to enjoy various local artist performances alongside the iconic lights display.

Jade Oddy, Assistant Centre Manager at Brewery Square, said: "The atmosphere at our Christmas Lights Switch On was incredible and we're excited to keep the festivities going with more wonderful ways to get in the Christmas spirit.

"Alongside our exciting events schedule, we're proud to continue supporting our businesses as they also host some of their own special festive events this month. With a hive of activity on our doorstep, we're looking forward to giving Dorchester another Christmas to remember this year."

On Saturday, 3 December from 7:30pm to 10pm, Morrish & Banham and Vinyl Van will come together for an evening of wine tasting with accompanying Christmas music.

Brewery Square will be hosting a special Christmas market from 11am on Saturday, 10 December. Visitors can have their pick of unique gifts including jewellery, personalised toys, calendars, pet accessories, and homeware, while enjoying fresh bakes and barista drinks.

On Monday 19 December, the Dorchester Choral Society will be filling the Square with festive carols from 8:10pm, in aid of Home Start West Dorset.

Vinyl Van will also be giving guests the chance to try their hand at spinning some holiday tunes and get the whole family in the festive spirit. The 'Joy of Christmas Decks' event will run from 7.30pm to 10pm on 22 December.

Luciano's is helping give back to its local community by offering bottomless tea and coffee with a choice of cakes and pastries for £5 per head to raise money for Dorset County Hospital Charity. Customers can get their fix every Monday between 9:30am and 11:30am.

In addition, various businesses will be extending their opening hours for Christmas shoppers. This includes Loco Loves, which is now open seven days a week in the lead up to Christmas Day.
