Volunteers and clergy from across the county town and surrounding villages will be looking after the Churches Together in Dorchester marquee at this weekend's Dorset County Show.

The marquee, which will be sited at Avenue 7 on the showground, will be hosting the baby changing and feeding facilities, Godly Play storytelling for all ages, hands-on eco display, craft activities, games, a rural information stand and refreshments.

The Bishop of Sherborne, the Reverend Karen Gorham, and Salvation Army Major Anne Read, are leading a traditional harvest festival service at the show on Sunday, September 3 at 11am at the sheep shearing stand (behind the marquee). There will be a retiring collection for Dorchester Foodbank.

Peter Jenner, children and family's worker for the Dorset South and West Methodist Circuit, said everyone was welcome.

"We've got a really exciting range of activities for all of the family, so do head down to the marquee – you'll be really welcome," he said.
