Enjoy a free carol concert in Dorchester's Borough Gardens this evening (Thursday).

From 6.30pm, there will be music from Dorchester's own Durnovaria Silver Band, with a candle-lit procession through the gardens by Kathie Prince and her group of singers, who will then lead the carols.

A spokesman for the event said: "This is a firm favourite in the Dorchester festive calendar not to be missed. There is something very special about singing together as a community outside, bundled up in winter hats and coats.

"We can't wait to see the candle-lit procession and hear the band."
