David Sidwick remains and police and crime commissioner

David Sidwick has been re-elected as Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC).

The Conservative beat Liberal Democrat candidate Howard Legg, who came second ahead of Independent Marianne Storey and Labour's David Stokes.

Mr Sidwick, first elected in 2021, has pledged to reduce violence, rural crime and anti-social behaviour.

He said he would also increase the number and visibility of police officers in his second term.

David Sidwick (Conservative) - 57,994

Howard Legg (Liberal Democrat) - 34,774

Marianne Storey (Independent) - 32,237

David Stokes (Labour) - 26,884
