There will continue to be overnight closures along the A35 around Dorchester for the next four weeks.

Drivers should be aware that this week - Monday, July 19 to Friday, July 23 - the A35 between Monkey Jump roundabout and Stinsford roundabout will be closed from 8pm to 6am.

From next week, Monday, July 26, for three weeks, the A35 between Stinsford and Bere Regis will be closed from 8pm to 6am.

The closures allow Highways England to carry out resurfacing works and will only be on weekdays, not Saturdays and Sundays.

A spokesman for Highways England said: "During the resurfacing scheme, we will also be carrying out associated road marking work, as well as drainage repairs, gras cutting and survey work, and during the programme of work, diversion routes, including the A352 and B3390, will be clearly signposted.

"The last night will be Friday, August 13, so completion by 6am on Saturday, August 14."
