Go back in time in Dorchester and have fun discovering the town's rich heritage.

Visit the History Village at Maumbury Rings on Saturday (September 18) for a day of fun for all the family as part of Heritage Open Days.

The Ancient Wessex Network CIC will be there with metal working, prehistoric pottery, tin casting, flint knapping, bronze casting, wool spinning, primitive medicine, clay beads, jewellery, prehistoric cooking and children's activities, which include mosaics, cave painting and pottery.

Join the Dorset Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers for traditional weaving, spinning and ancient crafts of tablet weaving, drop spindle spinning and stick weaving.

Weymouth and Dorchester Beekeepers will be giving demonstrations and will also have honey and beeswax candle rolling.

See Roman Gladiator displays, join tours and foraging walks, find out more about wild medicine and so much more.

Entry is free and it is open from 11am to 4pm.
