Christmas returns to Dorchester's Brewery Square, starting with the Christmas lights illumination.

The annual switch-on takes place on Saturday, November 27 from 4pm, which is also when Skating in the Square begins.

There will be a line-up of entertainment during the evening to mark the celebrations, including live music, lights, performances, late night shopping, mulled wine and more.

Tickets for the Skating in the Square in Dorchester can be bought in advance here.

Other Christmas events coming up at Brewery Square include the Durnovaria Silver Band playing traditional Christmas carols in the square on Thursday, December 2 from 5.30pm to 7pm, and Christmas craft activities on Thursday, December 16 between 4pm and 6pm.

A Christmas trail will also be taking place from December 4 to 24 when children can hunt for Santa and friends in Brewery Square.
