Dorchester planning applications include shop changes

CHANGES have been approved for town centre properties in Dorchester – including the conversion of a former youth advisory services offices into homes.

It will see the listed North Square building altered to create two 1-bed flats and a single 2-bed flat, making use of an office-fronted building which has been empty for eight years. (pictured)

Other proposals for town centre changes include commercial units in Trinity Street to become four flats and a shop unit at Cornhill into three flats, retaining a smaller shop or officer area.

Outside the town centre a former B&B in Maiden Castle Road has achieved success for proposals to convert the building back into a large, detached family home.
