Dorchester planning latest

OWNERS of a thatched house in a village near Dorchester are asking permission to change the roof to fibre-cement slates.

Other alterations are also planned to the building, known as Tilly Whim, at Giles Cross, Bradford Peverell.

A planning agent for the owners says the field thatch is in poor condition.

Other alterations include replacing the existing garage and conservatory with new single-storey flat roof extensions to provide a new garage with flat roof external terrace above, and a breakfast room.

Extensive changes are also proposed to a farm at West Stafford in the latest planning list for the area.
