Why not begin the new year being active, outdoors and putting your best foot forward?

Start 2022 with The Great Field parkrun in Poundbury, which will be going ahead on New Year's Day.

Walk, run or jog the 5k route to blow away the cobwebs or help ease your foggy head from the night before.

An organiser said: "We will not be running The Great Field parkrun on Christmas Day and we wish you all a merry Christmas.

"We will be running The Great Field parkrun on New Year's Day and welcome all that want to join us, be it running, jogging, walking or volunteering."
