Dorchester Repair Cafe will be popping up at various venues in and around the town this year, encouraging residents to save household items that can be fixed from landfill.

The Repair Cafe offers tools, materials and specialist help to fix broken household items.

Bring along your broken items to be fixed by volunteers on the last weekend of every month – electronics, computers, clothes and accessories, ceramics, furniture, woodwork, bicycles, etc.

Anyone is welcome to bring an item along, come for a chat, have a coffee and slice of cake, or just watch the repairers at work.

Upcoming dates and venues for Dorchester Repair Cafe, all from 10am to 12noon, are as follows:

Saturday, January 28 - Shire Hall Museum

Saturday, February 25 - Shire Hall Museum

Saturday, March 25 - Bradford Peverell Village Hall

Saturday, April 29 - Shire Hall Museum

Saturday, May 27 - Charminster Village Hall

Saturday, June 24 - Martinstown Village Hall
