Police warning after ASB incidents in Dorchester Town and Poundbury.

There has been a series of incidents in Poundbury and Dorchester Town in the last week resulting in a warning from local police.

Dorchester Police urged parents to monitor where their children are following several reports of nuisance anti-social behaviour (ASB).

In one of the incidents, CCTV recorded two youths taking a running jump and forcibly kicking a front door in a karate kick-type manner.

Dorchester Police said this caused fear and anxiety for residents.

The force added: "Anyone would be shocked by a sudden large noise at their front door. Young people need to understand the distress they cause, especially if there is an elderly vulnerable victim behind the door they choose to target.

"Please would parents monitor where their children are and who they are with, also discuss with young people the possible consequences of this type of behaviour on the health of victims."
