There are reports of queuing traffic on the A35 this morning after an accident involving four vehicles.

According to the Dorset Police traffic map, the A35 Puddletown Bypass Westbound is blocked, this is affecting traffic heading towards Dorchester.

Motorists have been advised to find alternative routes.

A spokesperson for Dorchester Police said: "A35, Westbound from Bere Regis to Dorchester is now closed due to an RTC. All emergency services remain on scene."

In an update, Dorset Police added: "We were called at 7:50am on Thursday 3rd November to a report of a four vehicle collision on the Puddletown bypass near Dorchester. Officers attended the scene with the ambulance and fire services. The road was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident. There were minor injuries reported. The road reopened at around 10:40am."
