A new major business seminar is coming to Dorchester.

Marketing West Events, the company behind a series of business awards across Dorset, including the Dorchester and Poundbury Business Awards, has announced details of the breakfast seminar.

It is one of three planned under its South West Business Forum banner and is titled, 'Growing Your Business Post Lockdown'.

The seminar is focusing on issues facing businesses post lockdown, the threats and opportunities, staffing, cybercrime, business growth, planning, management, funding, focus and investment.

It will take place on Thursday, October 21 from 7.30am to 10am at Dorchester Museum. It will also be live streamed vis the Marketing West website.

Speakers include:

• Jon Bird of Dorset Council

• Chris Conroy of Dorset Police

• Nick Gregory of Dorset Growth Hub

• Martin Varley of Humphries Kirk, Stephanie Dyke of Blue Fox Wealth

• Simon Ellson of ActionCOACH

Nigel Reeve, of Marketing West Events, said: "Running a small business during the last 18 months has thrown up many issues that we haven't had to face before.

"There is no doubt many businesses have had a very hard time, but slowly the position looks brighter. However, there are many issues to still face.

"Business confidence is improving but the media still love running negative stories covering Covid and the still to be felt effects of Brexit. We are trying to tackle some of these issues, bringing together a range of specialist speakers to help and advise businesses."

Businesses can book for the complimentary breakfast and seminar at marketingwest.co.uk
