Every week we will be sharing a circular walk in and around our local area with directions and photos. We use the OS Map app, which is very useful if you are out walking.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, you will be able to receive the walk first every Friday and be able to enjoy it over the weekend.
This week's walk is a three-mile loop around Bradford Peverell, taking around one hour and a half.
Start at the church in the village and turn right so you pass with the church on your right, walking straight up the road and going past a barn on your left.
After the lane goes round to the right, there will be a grassy path to the right, go down there and continue along this path until you get to the gate. Go through it and go straight along the right hand side of the field.
Just after an electricity pole, there will be a gate in front of you to the right, go through it and walk along the top of the field next to the other field to the gate ahead. Go through it and walk down the left-hand side of the field.
At the end of the field, go through the gate in the left corner and when you come to a track, turn right. Continue along this path to the road and turn right to walk along the road. We encountered a couple of fast drivers so please take care.
When you get to a crossroads with 'Muckleford' signposted left, turn right. Follow this road back to Bradford Peverell and turn right down Church Lane - just before a fork in the road on your left - back to the church.
This walk is just a suggestion, you can of course take any different routes you wish to make it more direct or make it longer. Always take extra care where the ground is uneven or wet.
Please leave gates as you find them - if you opened it, close it.
Please keep dogs on leads around livestock.
