Music By The Lake will return in the summer of 2022, it has been confirmed.
The live music event, organised by Weldmar Hospicecare and Kingston Maurward in Dorchester, attracted thousands of visitors when it was first held in July 2019, who enjoyed performances by some of the UK's leading tribute bands and artists.
Scheduled dates for 2020 fell toCovid-19, and although there were hopes it could go ahead this year, the decision has been taken to hold the next Music By The Lake in 2022 instead.
Alaine Harman, from Weldmar Hospicecare, is one of the organisers and said: "We cannot wait to bring the live music back to the glorious surroundings of Kingston Maurward next year. Plans are already underway for what will be a spectacular event that will raise vital funds for Weldmar.
"Whilst we had hoped to hold the next event this August, and there is light at the end of the tunnel with the vaccines being rolled out, we took the decision to put it on hold to make sure enough people are able to be confident enough to come and enjoy it safely."
