Dorechester planning applications

EXTENSIONS and other changes to properties in and around Dorchester have been decided by Dorset Council.

They include a new home at Buckland Newton following the demolition of an existing property and carport.

In Cerne Abbas an aluminium and glass veranda has been approved for one property while another is being allowed an extension to a garden room.

At Portesham a mobile home for residential use has been refused by Dorset Council planning officers.

P/HOU/2024/00653 – 26 Herringston Road Dorchester DT1 2BS.Erect single storey rear/side extension with roof lights, Install external flue for new wood burner. Install new window to en-suite. Granted.

P/FUL/2023/05322 – Knap Farm Locketts Lane Buckland Newton Dorchester DT2 7BS. Demolition of a 1.5 storey dwelling. Demolition of a double garage and attached carport. Construction of a dwelling comprising of a basement, ground floor and first floor. Granted

P/FUL/2024/02274 – Unit A & B Crown Hall 1 Crown Square Poundbury DT1 3JH. Change of use of ground floor commercial unit to a mixed use (Coffee shop and Cocktail Bar). Granted.

P/LBC/2024/02426 – The Glebe Cottage Affpuddle Dorchester DT2 7HH. Carry out repairs to the external brickwork, internal plastering and decoration following vehicular impact. Granted.

P/HOU/2024/01979 – 20 High Street Sydling St Nicholas Dorset DT2 9PD. Erect single storey porch/boot room. Granted.

P/LBC/2024/02511 – 18 Main Road Tolpuddle Dorset DT2 7ES. Replace glazing to 5 no. windows on North and West elevations. Replace 4 no. windows on South elevation. Granted.
