Dorset Museum will offer its very first wedding fair later this month, showcasing what can be done and included on couples' special day.

The venue hosted its first wedding in November for local couple Mike and Rachel after being granted its wedding license for civil marriages and partnerships.

Dorset Museum can offer exclusive use of its spaces and facilities and create a setting tailored to your needs with sight spaces of varying size available for all weddings and budgets.

It will be working alongside suppliers for the wedding fair, to take place on Sunday, February 20, which include The Wedding Library, Novia Events, Allum and Sidaway, Wedding time, ByBonhomie, Taste, Greenway Flowers, Mon Bel Amour Cake Craft and the Dorset registrars.

Attendees will be greeted with a glass of fizz and a goodie bag full of items to help plan their day. Bookings are not required and anyone visiting the fair has a chance to win 50 per cent off a full day venue hire.

Rachel and Mike, who got married at Dorset Museum in November, said: "When we saw the empty Victorian hall and stunning mosaics, we both immediately said what an amazing place to get married, not knowing then that we would be the very first couple to do so.

"We can't thank the museum staff enough for all their help, support and kindness in planning and on the day, to make it such a truly magical experience for us, our family and friends."
