Dorchester's Brewery Square is celebrating Easter this year with a series of events taking place over the bank holiday weekend - from Mad Hatter-themed festivities to a classic egg hunt.

Charlotte Spracklen, centre manager at Brewery Square, said: "Easter is always such a popular time at Brewery Square as the weather begins to pick up and families spend quality time together during the school holidays.

"We are so proud of the community we have here in Dorchester and their support for us, and we love to give back and organise events like these for everyone to come together."

Kicking off with Brewery Square's annual Easter Egg Hunt across the entire weekend, visitors will be tasked to search around the square for hidden eggs to collect a prize. The hunt is free of charge and will take place every day from God Friday until Easter Monday, from 10am to 4pm. Entry forms can be picked up across the weekend from Brewery Square's concierge office, located opposite Dorchester South train station.

A selection of weird and wonderful Mad Hatter-themed events offering something for all ages will also be taking place as part of Brewery Square's Easter festivities on Saturday, April 16.

Starting at 12noon, Brewery Square will be hosting a Mad Hatter's Stories and Games event with special guest, local storyteller and writer Lizzie Bryant bringing Easter-themed storytelling and performances at 1pm.

Visitors can also expect a selection of garden games and other activities to keep little ones entertained throughout the day.

For the adults, Brewery Square has partnered with DarkBear Bar to bring a Mad Hatter's Cocktail Party to the festivities, located at the fountains in the centre of the square. Starting at 6pm, guests will learn how to shake and create cocktails, while learning about the world of spirits.

Tickets cost £35 per person and will include three cocktails, three drams, nibbles and a goody bag to take away. Book here.
