The details of five village homes near Dorchester have been agreed – three years after the scheme was approved in principle.

Dorset Council has signed off the landscaping, layout and scale of the five homes north of Park Farm Close in Martinstown for Raymond Eversden Construction Ltd. The site is on the eastern edge of the village, off the road to Dorchester.

Progress with the scheme had been delayed partially because of the need to satisfy Wessex Water about how drainage and flood risk would be dealt with and how the site would adhere to nutrient neutrality rules.

The development will include three detached and two semi-detached houses facing the lane in a staggered layout around a cul de sac, with parking at the rear.

All of the houses will have four bedrooms over two floors and be made of slate, stone, flint and brick to reflect other homes in the area.
