Bridport firefighters rescue 16-day-old baby from locked car in Dorchester

A 16-day-old baby had to be rescued from a locked car in Dorchester by firefighters.

A Bridport crew was called at 4.10pm yesterday (Monday, September 20) to Dorchester.

A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "On scene crews were met with the mother and owner of the car and found a baby girl asleep in the car with the car keys, blissfully unaware of any issues.

"Using specialist tools, access was made to the car and, after a quick welfare check for mum and baby, crews returned back to home station."
