Although businesses and hospitality won't be able to reopen for Mother's Day this year, they are still offering something special so you can treat your mum.

Here's what some of Dorchester's businesses are doing:

Shire Hall is offering a takeaway afternoon tea for £14.99 per person, a minimum of two people. Book and pay on its Facebook page and all booking should be made before March 12. Collection is available between 10am and 3pm on Sunday, March 14.

The Thimble Inn, Piddlehinton, is offering two different menus for Mothering Sunday. There's a special Mother's Day Pudding Club menu and a Sunday roast menu. Find more information here.

Bonjour Café is offering a box of treats, including brownies, raspberry and lemon cake, scones, clotted cream and jam for £25 with delivery within five miles. Make it extra special and add two 20cl bottles of Freixenet fizz for £10. The team has also teamed up with Dorset Flower Co. Order a bouquet with your box for £10 and they will deliver. Find out more here.

Spike Fitness is offering gift vouchers for Mother's Day. For more information, email [email protected]

Hendover Café is offering a takeaway afternoon tea with a selection of sandwiches, mini scones and a trio of cake. For further details on how to order, call Paul on 01305 265904. Find more information here.

The Sun Inn is offering gift vouchers that can be sent straight to your mum and to be used when you can celebrate together. Email [email protected] with your request and contact number and they will call you and take payment.
