The family at Cheriton is rapidly growing, with eight more residents welcomed to the Dorchester care home in May.
The team, headed by manager Denise Chrippes, and all those who live at Cheriton are enjoying more as restrictions ease and the weather improves - more than 100 family visits, the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors in the garden and trips out to name just a few.
And the care home that offers residential, respite, dementia care and reablement is set to welcome even more new residents soon.
There is always something to do; celebrations and events, games, arts, crafts and more with residents encouraged to enjoy being outdoors with an ice cream in the enclosed garden that boasts a gardening club and a pet tortoise.
Residents also enjoy being a big part of the community, with close links to the local church and schools, as well as taking part in a varied programme of activities, which - restrictions allowing - includes outings in the minibus.
There are several lounges for residents to take advantage of, fresh meals and 24-hour care and support - it's no wonder Cheriton, which has been rated 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission, is becoming the care home of choice.
Registered manager Denise Chrippes said: "No two days are the same at Cheriton, and that's what makes being here so interesting and fulfilling.
"Our aim is for our residents to live as independently as possible, with someone on hand to help them.
"We have a strong team spirit and take great pride in our roles as health professionals. The team all really enjoy getting to know each person as an individual."
Cheriton Care Home is run by Agincare, which celebrates 35 years this year after opening its first care home in Weymouth. It operates more than 20 care homes nationwide from its base in Portland.
