Tree officer

Dorset Council is looking for a tree officer to join its arboricultural team based at County Hall.

The tree officer will assist the tree team leader and key areas of work will include dealing with tree work applications; making, revoking and updating tree preservation orders; analysis of development proposals and their potential impact on trees and hedgerows; gathering evidence where there are planning breaches; and the compilation and presentation of reports.

The Wrackleford Estate is looking for a housekeeper/cleaner to work on its busy agricultural estate, where it runs a number of businesses, including holiday lets B&B, game shooting and fishing.

The successful applicant will be able to work under their own initiative to make sure that properties are prepared to a high standard at the correct time.
