Jurassic challenge was met by charity supporters backing hospital appeal

SUPPORTERS of the Dorset County Hospital Charity have been celebrating a succsful weekend of fundraising in support of the £2.5M appeal to pay for major enhancements to the new Emergency and Critical Care Unit at the Dorchester hospital.

Members of the charity and individuals, teams, walkers and runners supported the appeal by taking part in the weekend's Jurassic Coast Challenge.

More than 50 people tackled distances of between 10km and the full 100km.

A statement from the charity said: "Special thanks go to all our DCH colleagues including a 14-strong Strategic Estates team, plus the Radioactive Ramblers, Team Minerva and everyone who took on the challenge on behalf of Dorset County Hospital."
