CHANGES to an historic house feature in the latest planning proposals submitted to Dorset Council for properties around Dorchester.
Significant works are proposed at Ashley Chase House, Abbotsbury (P/HOU/2025/06902), including the demolition and reconstruction of a summerhouse, a new single-storey extension on the west elevation, and extensive internal and external alterations.
Plans also cover re-roofing, drainage overhaul, replacement of a septic tank with a sewage treatment plant, installation of CCTV, and refurbishment of windows to a detached cottage.
In West Compton (P/LBC/2025/06751), listed building consent is sought to retain replacement windows, fascias, soffits, and brackets at West Compton House, along with the replacement of one window and the installation of an air vent at Pear Tree Cottage.
At 2 Poxwell Cottages, Osmington Mills (P/FUL/2025/07012), an application seeks permission to retain an existing mobile home.
Other proposals include:
- 28 Dorchester Road, Frampton (P/HOU/2025/07005): Erection of a detached double garage and a new vehicular access.
- Ryedor, Tincleton (P/HOU/2025/06907): Demolition of a conservatory and porch, to be replaced by two-storey and single-storey extensions to the front elevation.
- 3 Church Lane, Frampton (P/HOU/2025/07035): Construction of a new garage following demolition of the existing structure.
- Land West of Dukes Close, Martinstown (P/PIP/2025/07082): Permission in principle for the erection of a detached dwelling.
All applications are currently under consideration. Residents can view full details or submit comments via the Dorset Council planning portal.
