Cakes, dancing, street parties and a lie-in are just some of the ways The Prince of Wales School in Dorchester are marking England making it to the Euros 2020 finals.

As the England football team stands on the edge of history, children and staff are making the most of this moment.

Today (Friday), pupils were able to come into school in non-school uniform and have enjoyed a street party, with Dorset Cake Company supplying 250 England cakes, and have fun with an afternoon of singing, face painting and flag waving.

Pupils are also being encouraged to stay up on Sunday evening to watch the match as headteacher Gary Spracklen wouldn't want being tired for school to stand in the way of this historic moment.

Because of this, the morning register will be closed at the later time of 11am, giving little England fans more time in bed in the morning.

Also on Monday, the school will be having a #InspiredToLearn breakfast street party and families are welcome on site from 6.45am to enjoy a free breakfast bap and reflect on the night before.
