A group of around 15 to 20 young people were playing loud music and shouting in a town centre car park yesterday evening (Friday), resulting in residents calling the police.

Police were called to Trinity Street car park at around 6pm last night.

A spokesman for Dorchester police said: "They were shouting, playing loud music and it sounded like things were being smashed and thrown around.

"Police attended and the youth dispersed upon their appearance. There was rubbish and smashed bottles left at the area and what appeared like the remains of a 'beer pong' game.

"Could your child have been involved in this anti-social behaviour?"
