A man has been arrested after a gold chain was stolen from a jewellery store in Dorchester.

At around 2.45pm on Wednesday, January 19, it is alleged that two men entered Dorchester Jewellers at Cornhill and stole a nine-carat 18-inch yellow gold curb chain valued at £1,200.

Following a CCTV appeal, a man aged in his 30s from Poole was arrested on suspicion of theft and released under investigation while enquiries continue.
