Pin badge club for cancer survivors coming soon to Dorchester

Cancer charity Mission Remission is teaming up with the Pinners Award Club to create a special community for Dorset residents who have completed cancer treatment.

On Thursday, September 28 Mission – Pinners will open the doors of Dorchester Community Church in Poundbury at 10.30am, exclusively for cancer survivors and their support networks, with the aim of looking forward and dreaming big.

Mission - Pinners, guided by cancer survivor Susie Pinner, is all about giving cancer survivors a place to focus on what lies ahead. With the support of Mission Remission, a grassroots cancer charity, this initiative is here to remind survivors that life after treatment can be filled with hope, dreams and endless possibilities.

Pinners Award Club: Celebrating your wins

Right at the heart of this collaboration is the Pinners Award Club, a new initiative that's all about celebrating personal achievements. Think of it like an adulting badge club with more than 60 different award pins to aim for.

From Gardening to sewing, baking or even building – there is something for everyone.

But it's not just about the badges; it's about cancer survivors discovering their strengths. Every challenge they conquer will earn them pin badges, stickers ands certificates to sShow off your wins to friends and family, helping to boosting confidence after treatment.

This collaboration is all about combining the support of Mission Remission with the dream-big attitude of Pinners Award Club. Dorset's cancer survivors now have a special place where they can meet up, cheer each other on and chase their dreams together.

A spokesperson said: "This collaboration between Mission and Pinners Award Club is all about the power of community and dreams. Together, we're giving Dorchester's cancer survivors a place to aim high, grow strong, and make their dreams a reality. It's proof that when grassroots organizations come together, amazing things can happen.
