A Dorchester teenager is one of two people arrested after a reported assault and theft at the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale hunt.

The incident is alleged to have happened at Cannings Lane, Pulham just after midnight and in the early hours of Thursday, 7 December.

Dorset Police have now confirmed a male, 18, from the Dorchester area and another male from Blandford were arrested on suspicion of assault and theft.

A statement says the men are 'assisting police with enquiries'.

It is not the first reported incident involving the Hunt recently.

In October Dorset Police arrested two men following similar allegations.

At the time a statement from the force said: "Dorset Police received a report at 9.42am on Tuesday, September 26 that a person had been assaulted and equipment stolen in the area of Load Lane, Hilfield.

"Two men have now been arrested on suspicion of assault and theft."
