Police are appealing for information after liquid fertiliser worth more than £8,000 was stolen from a farm near Dorchester

More than £8,000 worth of liquid fertiliser has been stolen from a farm near Dorchester.

Between March 31 and May 10, offenders gained access to a remote farm in the area between Piddletrenthide and Plush, broke the lock on a large storage tank and took 12,000 litres of liquid fertiliser.

Police Constable Paul Miners, of Dorset Police's Rural Crime Team, said: "Such thefts have a big impact on our rural community and I am trying to progress my enquiries to identify those responsible.

"I urge anyone with information about the incident that might help my investigation to contact us."
