OFFICERS from Dorchester Police attended the One World Festival in Dorchester Borough Gardens, a free to enter multicultural event with a mixture of multicultural food, music, dance and activities.

Due to the recent events countrywide there was concern that some elements might try to turn up to disrupt it hence the Police presence.

However, the inclusive celebration went without a hitch and a good time was had by all.

A statement from one of the officers said: "The presence of such a diverse range of cultures, ages and families leant itself to create happy atmosphere that I have not felt for a while.

"What a pleasant and much needed breath of fresh air. The amazing event volunteers ensured we felt welcome and looked after."
