OFFICERS from Dorchester's Neighbourhood Policing Team say they have been made aware of recent thefts from motor vehicles in the Dorchester Townarea.

A statement says: "It would appear to be opportunistic crime, whereby individuals are targeting insecure vehicle's by trying door handles.

"Please make sure when leaving your vehicle it is locked and secure and no items of value have been left inside.

"Officers will be conducting patrols for reassurance. Should you witness this sort of behaviour please report at the time."
