POLICE have issued warnings after reporters of rogue bike riders in a part of Dorchester.

A statement from the Dorset force says: "We have received a number of reports regarding the anti-social use of mopeds in the Poundbury area on Monday (29 April) evening.

"One rider has been issued with a Section 59 Warning Notice as a result of information that was provided by members of the public.

"Two other riders have been give suitable words of advice and dispersed from the area.

"A Section 59 can be issued in the event that a constable in uniform has reasonable grounds for believing that a motor vehicle has been driven in a careless and inconsiderate or anti-social manner. If the rider/driver or same vehicle is stopped and issued with a second Section 59 notice in 12 months the vehicle can be seized.

"Please continue to report your concerns to us so we can take the appropriate action and direct our patrols accordingly."
