It's that time of the year and a local farm is getting ready for its annual pumpkin picking event.

During weekends in October, Dewflock Farm at Winterborne Monkton will be hosting fun days, beginning on Saturday, 7 October and concluding on Sunday, 29 October.

This year there's a new attraction, with a scarecrow competitionand residents and local groups are being invited to submit entries. It's free to enter.

Visitors to the farm will then get to vote on their favourite scarecrow, with a winner announced at the end of next month.,

Scarecrows can be delivered to the farm and set up from Monday, October 2 to be ready for the first Saturday
