Smart move by police who use spray to tag rogue riders

Local News by Nub News Reporter 18th Jun 2025

DORSET Police are utising an invisible UV spray to help therm prosecute people engaging in anti-social behaviour on illegal motorised cycles.

Officers have been equipped with new innovative technology to tackle the anti-social use of illegally adapted e-bikes, e-scooters and other motorised vehicles in public spaces after concerns were raised from members of the public.

Check out this short video from Poole Police's neighbourhood policing team (NPT) which explains how the technology works and why it is needed.

If you witness such behaviour, you can report it via for force website – www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101. Always dial 999 if a crime is in progress.
