A LARGE Frampton home is to have ground-mounted solar panels installed.

Dorset Council has given planning consent to the owner of Marl House, off the A356 Dorchester Road, to fit a 13-panel array of solar panels in the extensive grounds of the property.

Neither the parish council or the ward councillor raised any objection to the proposal.

According to the application the two rows of panels will be screened by hedgerows and trees from the road to the south west and the Frampton Conservation Area beyond that.
