Ice creams out and about, visits to Dorchester Market and Brewery Square, relaxing in the Borough Gardens - social life at Cheriton Care Home is booming and getting back to normal.

As well as making it out around the town, families can visit both indoors and outdoors and residents are joining in with a range of activities at the care home on Weymouth Avenue.

Whether it's watching the resident tortoise Trott make his way around the garden, relaxing outside with family and friends or joining the Cheriton Gardening Club to help pot up bulbs, tend vegetable seedlings donated by the local community and topping up the bird feeders.

And it will only keep on getting busier for residents at Cheriton Care Home.

Manager Denise Chrippes said: "Social interaction is incredibly important for wellbeing, so it's something we really focus on getting right at Cheriton Care Home.

"It's good for our residents, and lots of fun for the team to get involved with too."

Cheriton Care Home has welcomed a number of new residents recently, with even more to come, so there are lots of people to socialise with.

And manager Denise Chrippes celebrates six months at the helm of the care home, which is rated 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission, and 20 years with Agincare.
