Benches in Dorchester are being given a new lease of life.

Seats in Charles Street and South Street are looking very smart after being reconditioned by Dorchester Town Council.

A spokesman for the council said: "Our grounds team has been out taking care of some of our benches. Fifteen seats have been reconditioned on Charles and South Street this year.

"Thank you to Dorchester BID and Goulds Department Stores for contributing to this project.

"We will be reducing waste by restoring any of the reusable old slats from the Benches. These will be used to refurbish seats on Higher East and West Street next year."
