Under the spotlight: Vibes cafe
Under the spotlight: Vibes cafe

Vibes café opened in Dorchester's Brewery Square, on Weymouth Avenue, in February this year.

I had heard very good things about the vegan and vegetarian restaurant, and there were always people enjoying a meal or drink in there when I waked past, so I decided to try it out.

I opted for the Buddha Bowl - made up from a selection dishes including falafel, roasted sweet potato, harissa cauliflower, beetroot, potato salad, hummus, salad and more.

So many flavours! It was probably one of the most delicious lunches I have had, and all washed down with a vegan chocolate milkshake.

Other items on the menu included a burger, coconut, mango and cashew nut curry, 'cheezy' mac 'n' ribs, 'meatball' tagine, cheesy jackfruit wedges and more and it also offers a breakfast menu from 10am to 12noon.

There was also a great selection of vegan treats and if the Buddha Bowl hadn't been more filling, I definitely would have tried the doughnut!
