University Music Chamber Choir, formed from students at Bournemouth University and Arts University Bournemouth, will be leading the singing at the Advent carol service at St Peter's Church, Dorchester on Saturday, 30 November at 4.30pm.

Beginning in candlelight, the readings, plainsong antiphons, carols and choral settings trace the symbolic progress of the season from darkness to light.

This is the second year that University Music Chamber Choir has led the Advent Carol service at St Peter's and is a rare opportunity to hear these talented young voices in West Dorset.

The music for the service includes fantastic choral settings by James MacMillan, Kerensa Briggs, Judith Weir, Franz Biebl, Paul Manz, Joanna Forbes L'Estrange and Iain Farrington and the choir will be accompanied by organist David Beeby. This is a free event to which all are welcome.
