Walk of the week
Walk of the week

This week's walk is a one and a half mile loop in Lyme Regis, taking just under an hour.

Start at the end of South Avenue at the junction with Colway Lane and cross Colway Lane to go down the footpath opposite.

Continue straight on this path, following signs for 'Uplyme' and go through the field and keep following the signs. After you come out of the field and over the bridge, turn right to follow signs towards 'Rhode Lane'. Go down the next footpath on your right, following the sign to 'Dragons Hill'. Follow the path through a field and into another.

When the path comes out onto a lane, turn right to go down the track, following the 'A3052' sign. Take the first footpath on your right towards a housing estate.

When the path comes out onto a road, turn right and follow the road down. At the end of the road turn right, before turning left onto South Avenue and back to the start.

This walk is just a suggestion, you can of course take any different routes you wish to make it more direct or make it longer. Always take extra care where the ground is uneven or wet.

Please leave gates as you find them - if you opened it, close it.

Please keep dogs on leads around livestock.
