This week's walk is a 2.6-mile loop in West Bexington, with lovely sea views and takes around one hour and 20 minutes.

There are a couple of hills and the ground in parts is uneven.

Start in the car park and walk back up the road. When it sweeps to the left, continue straight onto the footpath signposted 'Hardy's Monument' and 'Osmington Mills'.

Take the first footpath on your right, just before you get to some green fencing ahead, and the path will bring you onto a lay-by by the road, go through the gate opposite onto Lime Kiln Hill and follow the path to the right. After that keep left, following signs for South Dorset Ridgeway.

Go through a gate and keep following the path to the right. Keep going down to the right and follow a sign for 'East Bexington' and beach.

At a brick building turn left before it and into a field. Go straight through the field and through a gate to the right of the farm building below.

Follow the lane round to the right. Keep following the lane until it meets a road. Turn left and follow the road back to the car park and start.

This walk is just a suggestion, you can of course take any different routes you wish to make it more direct or make it longer. Always take extra care where the ground is uneven or wet.

Please leave gates as you find them - if you opened it, close it.

Please keep dogs on leads around livestock.
