We've picked some events happening in and around the town this weekend for you to enjoy:

Friday: Music at the Pavilion

Final instalment for the summer of music at the pavilion. Local musicians and singers perform outside Pips from 12pm. A free music event for the whole family to enjoy.

Bring a picnic or grab a takeaway from the cafe and enjoy some music from talented local individuals and groups.

Saturday: Dorset County Show

A fun-packed weekend for all the family!

The Dorset County Show is the major event in Dorset's calendar - always falling on the first weekend in September. Situated just outside of the County Town of Dorchester it is easy to reach by train, car, bike or foot. Whether it's cows or coats, horses or ham baguettes, cars or corn, fun fairs or fancy food - entertainment galore all weekend. What an end to the summer the Show makes - Don't miss it!

Sunday: Roasts at The Club House

Sunday roasts at The Club House.

Two courses for £20 and three courses for £25 for a starter, main or a main and dessert.

Sunday: Pop-up in the Yard

Join De Danann Antiques Centre and Loving by Nature for the next Pop-up in the Yard.

Sunday 4th September midday until 4pm. Music, food, and stalls.
